As of November 20th at 2:30pm, the Center for Disease Control has issued a warning regarding ALL romaine lettuce, including mixed lettuces that may contain romaine. You can read the CDC's entire warning here.
While the last recorded illness was October 31st, and historically organic romaine's distribution is so limited that if it were the source of contamination then it would be easily tracked, Honest Weight has decided to suspend romaine sales for the time being for the safety of our shoppers, Member-Owners, staff, and their families.
The CDC told consumers to throw away any romaine lettuce they may already have purchased, no matter where or when the lettuce was grown. It doesn’t matter if it is chopped, whole head or part of a mix. All romaine should be avoided.
