Rebecca Angel, Managing Editor of Coop Scoop, here to invite your feedback! At the beginning of 2022, we made major revisions to our print publication. In addition to a complete redesign, our team identified three values to guide our content: it should be: relevant, welcoming, and helpful to all who come through the doors of Honest Weight. Last month we launched the Fresh News Blog on our website as a new way of reaching our community.
Now we want to hear from you: what do you want to see from Coop Scoop going forward?
Right now we maintain a number of recurring features. The “Co-op 101” series explains basic principles that are the center of what we do at Honest Weight–and how that makes us more than just a grocery store. Our feature articles are in-depth explorations on topics that match the cooperative’s mission to promote more equitable, participatory, and ecologically sustainable ways of doing business. As well as bringing you the latest news about products and events. And, because we believe in living a happy and joyful life, we always include plenty of health and wellness articles, plus delicious recipes!
Our team is made up of a mix of staff and member-workers. This helps us understand the needs of the whole community that makes up Honest Weight, and we aim to inform and inspire.
