Now announcing online grocery delivery through Instacart!

HWFC Delivered to your door with Instacart! We're so excited to finally be able to offer many of our regularly stocked items for delivery to your doorstep through our new partnership with Instacart. This is especially exciting during COVID-19 for folks who aren't able or would prefer not to enter the store.

With Instacart, you choose your groceries and place an online or through their app on your phone, then someone shops for those items and delivers it to you the same day—usually in two hours or less (though the pandemic has caused longer wait times than usual).

View the video below for step-by-step instructions on how to sign up for Instacart and use it to shop at Honest Weight from the comfort of your own home! Click here for HWFC deliveryScroll down for answers to some Frequently Asked Questions.

HWFC Instacart FAQs

What is Instacart?
Instacart is a software tool that Honest Weight has partnered with to offer grocery delivery to our local shoppers. You can meet your personal shopper at your door or choose contactless delivery, in which case they will leave your groceries at the door.

We just launched our Instacart on Thursday, June 25th, so it’s very new. Please bear with us as we work out all the kinks and get things going smoothly!

How fast does Instacart deliver?
Schedule delivery for as fast as an hour, or for later in the day or week to fit your schedule.

Can I use my Member/Senior/Student discount?
At this time, we are unfortunately not able to offer discounts through Instacart. This includes Wednesday Senior Discounts, Sunday Student Discounts, and all Ownership-Based Discounts.

What about Honest Weight coupons?
There are no Instacart coupons at this time, although be on the lookout for Instacart-specific coupons in the weeks and months to come!

Is contactless delivery available?
You can meet your Shopper at your door to get your groceries or select contactless delivery and they will be left at your door.

What about bulk and produce items that need to be weighed?
Some items, such as loose produce or Honest Weight Bulk items, are weighed in-store. Shoppers always try to get the customer’s requested amount of weighted items, but final weights and prices may vary for certain items depending on such factors as product availability and seasonality. The final weight and price of items from the deli, meat, and seafood counters are based on the label the retailer applies to those items in-store. If the final weight of the items is different than what was requested, your receipt will be adjusted accordingly and you will be charged the accurate price.

Where does Instacart deliver Honest Weight groceries?
Instacart’s delivery system is based on zip codes in proximity to the store:

Are prices the same as in the physical store?
Many retailers apply an across-the-board increase to all prices on Instacart to account for the cut that Instacart takes from each sale. We have applied a 10% markup to all items on top of our typical in-store retail price. This is in line with the markup that most retailers apply on platforms like Instacart, and while we still make less on each Instacart sale than we do from an in-person sale, this markup helps us cover the costs of partnering with a home delivery service.
