on the major transgenic crops – crops that contact DNA from dissimilar
organisms, like a flounder gene in a tomato, or a petunia gene in a
soybean.
“But I eat organic foods
– so I
don’t have to worry about genetically engineered foods, right?”Wrong!!!As a result of cross-pollination, there
have already been incidents of
genetically engineered crops affecting the crops of organic farmers.
